I am from Moscow but left Russia 10 years ago with no intentions of going back. I loveeeeee Russian literature, for me it is the way to stay connected to my culture. After Navalny’s death earlier this year and shock and grief, I found myself trying to read more Russian authors - seeking more “good” in where I come from, beyond its political evil. I also read a lot of Russian and Ukrainian authors in 2022.
